Kat Shaw Lead Engineer, Lullabot (Colleague)
I defend user experiences with the right tools for each challenge.
I started studying graphic design, branding, psychology, and communication arts. Over time, I added interface design, art direction, information architecture, content management.
As a Senior User Experience Strategist (UX), I bring this expertise to every project phase. I'm also CPACC certified (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies). I take that seriously—making the web work for everyone isn't optional.
I excel at research, modeling, wireframing, design, testing, measurement, and documentation. My toolkit ranges from research protocols and Figma to post-its and sharpies.
I've created experiences for publishers, entertainment companies, startups, nonprofits, and government agencies. I focused the last five years of my career improving government websites.
I tailor my solutions to each unique challenge, but I always bring curiosity, organization, and precision.
I also love learning and sharing what I've learned. I've spoken at over a dozen industry conferences, presented at camps and workshops, and written blog articles.
